When is the best time to book my maternity session?

Accepted Answer

Ideally, we’ll schedule your session between 28 and 35 weeks. At this stage, your bump is beautifully defined, but you’ll still feel comfortable enough to move and pose with ease. I recommend reaching out early so we can secure your preferred date.

I don’t feel photogenic right now. Will I actually look good?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely — it’s my job to make you feel confident and look incredible. I’ll guide you through every pose, right down to your fingertips, so you feel comfortable and at ease in front of the camera. Most of my clients start the day saying, “I’m awkward on camera” and leave saying, “Wow, I can’t believe that’s me.”

What if I don’t know what to wear?

I’ve curated a beautiful studio wardrobe of dresses, fabrics, and styling pieces you’re welcome to use. During your styling consultation, we’ll plan your looks together — you don’t need to worry about a thing. I will send you a  prep guide to remind you of all the tips we talk about in the consultation so you feel your best on the day of.

Is hair and makeup included?

Yes. Every session includes hair and makeup so you can relax, be pampered, and feel your absolute best on the day.

What if I feel nervous about being photographed?

Accepted Answer

This is completely normal, and it’s one of the most common concerns my clients share. My sessions are fully guided — from posing to expression — so you’ll never feel unsure about what to do. I’ll take care of the details so you can simply relax and enjoy the day.

Question 6

Can I include my partner or other children in the session?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. While the focus is on celebrating you and your journey, partners, little ones and those most dear to you are always welcome to be part of your portraits if you’d like.

How far in advance should I book?

I only take on a limited number of maternity sessions each month to ensure a fully tailored experience for every client. I recommend booking as early as possible — ideally in your second trimester — to secure your preferred date.

How much should I expect to invest?

Accepted Answer

What you choose to spend is entirely up to you, there is no hard sell. You can choose to stick to the session fee with one matted print of your choice, or you can invest in a beautiful handmade Italian  Folio Box with 20 matted prints and beautiful wall art. Some people spend £300 while others spend £2,000, it is entirely up to you. I also offer flexible payment plans to make this experience accessible and stress-free.

When will I get to see my portraits?

Within about 2 weeks after your session, we’ll meet for a private reveal appointment where you’ll see your portraits for the first time and select your favourites. It’s one of the most magical parts of the experience.

How long does a maternity photoshoot take?

Multiple outfit changes
A relaxed lunch break
Creating your portraits without ever feeling rushed
Most clients are surprised by how calm and enjoyable the day feels. It’s a chance to slow down and really celebrate yourself.

Where do the sessions take place?

Your session will take place in a beautifully lit rented studio in Leyton, just a short walk from Lea Bridge Station. I choose the space carefully so it feels private, calm, and inspiring — the perfect setting to create timeless portraits.

Your reveal appointment and any in-person consultations, should you select this option, happen in my home studio in E1, where you’ll also be able to see and feel my full range of Graphistudio folio boxes, albums, and wall art on display.

Can I just have the digital images?

I believe deeply in creating images that last for generations — portraits you can hold, display, and pass down as part of your family’s story. That’s why every photo you purchase comes in both print and digital formats, so you can enjoy the best of both worlds.

If you’d prefer to invest in digital-only packages, they’re available at the same price as my print packages. This is because the real value lies in the creation of the images themselves — the time, care, and artistry behind crafting something beautiful and timeless.
