I'm Rafaela
All my life I’ve been surrounded by strong, resilient women who’ve shown me that anything is possible if you put your heart and mind to it. I’ve been raised with the belief that nothing should stop you or get in the way of your passions, goals and desires. And to never let anyone make you feel like you need change or quell your ambitions.
And something I’ve learned is that we women need to support one another and uplift each other, and in doing so we will create a more just and beautiful world.
It’s my life’s mission to help celebrate, uplift and empower the women around me. Whether I do it through capturing their inner essence and allowing it to shine to the world, or being there to listen and encourage someone on their path, it is always with the intention of love and empowerment. Because when we start to value ourselves, others will start to value us too.
I CAN'T IMAGINE DOING ANYTHING ELSE
To me, photography is a tool that can transform someone’s life. It can help you see yourself in a way that you’ve never seen before, but always new existed. I’ve seen women cry because the photo in front of them finally portrayed how they’ve been feeling inside. It showed them the woman they are and the woman they could be. This is at the heart of what I do - it is not about simply taking a picture, it’s about changing the way you see and feel about yourself.
