We can photograph you with your little one at many different stages of growth. My recommendation is that you book your session when your baby is at least 4 months old or when they can already hold their head up on their own. This will allow us to create a variety of poses together. Conversely, for beautiful shots of you holding your baby up, I'd recommend that the baby is light enough for you to still do so, so around one year of age. We will amend the poses to suit your baby's age and your own abilities regardless, so not to worry.

We know babies are not dolls. I know things change within seconds and you cannot impose strict schedules. That’s normal and expected.We go with the flow and don’t try to force anything. If your baby sleeps well in your arms, we photograph them doing so. If they like to nap in the pram, then we’ll have our afternoon tea while they do. Need a change, all good, we’ll pause and let you do that.Sometimes new environments and faces can also help calm the typical behaviours that you see at home.In any case, we take it easy, lower the pressure and have fun with it. If your little one is getting fussy and it’s not going to work, we won’t force you to stay longer. On the flip side, if they’re having fun, there’s nothing wrong with taking a little extra time to try out some new looks. I encourage you to bring your partner/family members or friends along to also help hold the baby whilst you have your hair and makeup done.

Absolutely — it’s my job to make you feel confident and look incredible. I’ll guide you through every pose, right down to your fingertips, so you feel comfortable and at ease in front of the camera. Most of my clients start the day saying, “I’m awkward on camera” and leave saying, “Wow, I can’t believe that’s me.”

During your styling consultation, we’ll plan your looks together — you don’t need to worry about a thing. Absolutely. While the focus is on celebrating you and your journey, partners, little ones and those most dear to you are always welcome to be part of your portraits if you’d like.

I only take on a limited number of motherhood sessions each month to ensure a fully tailored experience for every client. I recommend booking as early as possible, ideally 1-2 months in advance of your preferred shoot date to guarantee availability.

What you choose to spend is entirely up to you, there is no hard sell. You can choose to stick to the session fee with one matted print of your choice, or you can invest in a beautiful handmade Italian Folio Box with 20 matted prints and beautiful wall art. Some people spend £300 while others spend £2,000, it is entirely up to you. I also offer flexible payment plans to make this experience accessible and stress-free.

Within about 2 weeks after your session, we’ll meet for a private reveal appointment where you’ll see your portraits for the first time and select your favourites. It’s one of the most magical parts of the experience.

Shoots usually last up 6 hours, however this can be longer or shorter depending on your baby. Your session will take place in a beautifully lit rented studio in Leyton, just a short walk from Lea Bridge Station.
